The official fees due at the EPO will increase on April 1, 2026

The European Patent Office (EPO) has announced that most of its procedural fees will increase by around 5% on April 1, 2026.

This increase will apply in particular to search, examination, designation, and grant fees, as well as annual fees.

It will apply to fees actually paid from April 1, 2026.

We recommend anticipating payments that can be made in advance. As a reminder, renewal fees can be validly paid within the three months preceding the due date.
