Maxime PETIT is a European and French Patent Attorney in the “Mechanics” department at Beau de Loménie, Paris Office.

Beginning a career in IP in 1990 as a patent Attorney at Usinor Sacilor, Maxime then joined Schlumberger Industries where he held the position of IP Director-Europe and Asia. After several years in industry, Maxime continued his career at two Paris-based IP firms as a Partner and Head of the patent department. He joined Beau de Loménie in 2020.

With over 30 years’ experience in IP both in industry and IP firms, Maxime’s area of expertise is patent. His expertise covers protection of innovations, as well as all issues surrounding innovation strategy (contracts, audits and due diligence, IP portfolio management). He provides support to French and foreign companies in obtaining, optimising the value of, and defending their patents. In addition to undertaking freedom-to-operate studies, his involvement also covers the follow-up of pre-litigation and litigation proceedings. He has a great experience in proceedings before the European Patent Office-EPO.

Moreover, Maxime is a member of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle-AIPPI [International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property].
