Beau de Lom\u00e9nie is pleased to announce the appointment of Vincent GILBEY, \u00c9ric LA\u00cfK and Jacques VERRUE to the partnership, effective 1 September 2026. These appointments are part of the Firm\u2019s continued expansion and demonstrate its commitment to supporting internal career development and recognising the wealth of expertise within its teams.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vincent GILBEY and Jacques VERRUE will now join Didier INT\u00c8S in leading the Mechanical Engineering Patent Department. \u00c9ric LA\u00cfK will lead the Chemistry, Pharmacology and Biology Department.<\/p>\n

Recognised Expertise within the Firm<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vincent GILBEY<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Vincent GILBEY holds engineering degrees from Arts et M\u00e9tiers and Cardiff University. He is a European and French Patent Attorney and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court. He joined Beau de Lom\u00e9nie in 2013 and has since built a wide-ranging practice covering the protection, strategic development and enforcement of patent portfolios across numerous technical sectors. He has particular experience in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office and in patent disputes before both national courts and the Unified Patent Court.<\/p>\n

\u00c9ric LA\u00cfK<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

A graduate of ESPCI Paris \u2013 PSL and Sciences Po, \u00c9ric LA\u00cfK is a European and French Patent Attorney and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court. He joined Beau de Lom\u00e9nie in 2013 and focuses primarily on materials science. He has considerable experience in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and also serves on the Board of EPLIT, the European Patent Litigators Association.<\/p>\n

Jacques VERRUE<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Jacques VERRUE is an engineering graduate of \u00c9cole Polytechnique and ENSTA Paris and holds a Master\u2019s degree in Intellectual Property Law. He is a European and French Patent Attorney and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court. He joined Beau de Lom\u00e9nie in 2012. Since 2022, he has led the development of the Firm\u2019s practice in France\u2019s Grand Est region, while continuing to advise French and international clients on patent strategy, innovation protection, IP audits, and pre-litigation and litigation matters, including cases before the Unified Patent Court.<\/p>\n

Through these appointments, Beau de Lom\u00e9nie is strengthening the governance of its patent departments and reaffirming its commitment to providing clients in France and internationally with rigorous, multidisciplinary and long-term support.<\/p>\n
